Specifically, we’re looking for dance artists who:

-Can adapt and excel within our institution, embracing its unique artistic vision and methodologies.
-Can prosper in a northern climate, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.

Applicants should have a minimum of three years of work experience.
What to Expect in the 24/25 Season
In the upcoming season, we will showcase two new creations by Kristin Ryg Helgebostad and Martin Forsberg. Our repertoire will feature works by James Batchelor, Ingrid Berger Myhre, Philip Berlin, Sigrid Stigsdatter, Janina Rajakangas and Liz Kinoshita.
We are also looking for dancers for shorter production contracts to join Riksteaterns (Sweden’s National Touring Theatre) Swedish tour of Norrdans version of Rite of Spring. Contract period 05.08.2024 – 20.10.2024 with initial rehearsals in Härnösand.
About Rite of Spring
Norrdans version of Rite of Spring, choreographed by Norrdans Artistic Director Martin Forsberg is a small scale macrocosmos for three dancers. Sharing the space with everyday objects; pipes, earplugs, tarp, buckets, the work rejects the narrative of sacrifice and celebrates the complexity of the musical score. The contract period 05.08.2024 – 20.10.2024, consist of resetting the work at Norrdans in Härnösand and Riksteatern in suburban Stockholm, followed by a national tour.

We are not able to host private auditions or shift audition dates.
Successful applicants will be notified no later than Friday 15th December.
The audition will take place in Stockholm, at Hallen in Farsta, on the 3rd of February, with the possibility of a call-back on the 4th of February.
The audition will include dance class/training, repertoire, improvisation and task based score work.
Dancers who do not proceed to the call-back will receive an invitation to attend a free workshop on the 4th.
Successful candidates from the call-back will be interviewed via Zoom between the 5th and 9th of February.
