AUDITION SCHEDULE 2024 – 2025

HESSIAN STATE BALLET

The Hessian State Ballet is the joint dance company of the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden and the State Theater in Darmstadt. Under the artistic direction of Bruno Heynderickx, the 28-member dancer ensemble produces and presents at least three programs every season, for which the company commissions nationally and internationally renowned choreographers. The company’s repertoire includes works by Imre & Marne van Opstal, Ohad Naharin, Nadav Zelner, Xie Xin, Damien Jalet, Sharon Eyal, Marco Goecke and Antonio de Rosa & Mattia Russo, among others.

For the 2024/25 season, the Hessian State Ballet is looking for dancers with at least three years of professional experience who have solid classical and excellent contemporary technique.

The audition will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden.

To apply for the audition, we ask the dancers to send the following email to audition@staatstheater-wiesbaden.de with the subject “Audition Season 2024/25”:

• complete CV with a portrait photo
• a video link with a self-danced repertoire piece
• Video link of a max. 3-minute improvisation

The registration deadline is January 7, 2024 . We will notify the dancers who are invited to audition by January 20, 2024 by email at the latest. Dancers are only allowed to take part in the audition if invited.
