Professional Dance Training French Riviera

The Professional Dance Training French Riviera (PDTFR) is based in Grasse, the world capital of perfume.

Housed in a 1000 m2 space dedicated exclusively to dance, PDTFR is a multi-disciplinary program designed for highly skilled young dancers aged 17 to 25 who strive to make a career in the Ballet and Contemporary Dance world scene.

Exceptionally the world-known ballet senior teacher, Michel Gascard will lead masterclasses during the year.

The main goal of the PDTFR is to cultivate an environment where dancers feel safe to explore, try new things, fail, and challenge their physicality and performative skills, all the while encouraging vulnerability, growth, and success.

Dancers will be trained in contemporary and ballet dance techniques:  counter-technique, lyrical jazz, partnering, improvisation skills, choreography and performance, theatre, mime, dramaturgy, singing and video making, all with an emphasis on embodying and speaking their own voice.

In addition, dancers will be offered a healing practice: Yoga, Breathwork, Pilates, Functional Anatomy, Floor Barre, and nutrition.

The dance program is directed by
Elodie Auger and has a duration between 9 months and 2 years.

Over this period dancers will get the chance to work with different artists from various dance companies as: DV8, Eastman Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Punchdrunk, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Paris Opéra, Batsheva Dance Company, La Véronal, Théâtre du Corps Pietragalla-Derouault, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Hofesh Shechter, Kidd Pivot Crystal Pite, Nederlands Dance Theater, and Peeping Tom.
